On April 19th I published the below summary and warning regarding Sen. Leno's Bill allowing the California law to recognize more than two parents for a child. This Bill passed and was signed into law by Gov. Brown on 10/4/13. It will become law on 1/1/14. New procedures for requesting a continuance of certain types of hearings or notifying the court of settlement of a case.
The Superior Court of San Diego Family Law Division is now requiring that requests for continuance and notifications of settlement of a case be submitted online via webform.
