Recently a mass email went out from Boyce Hinman, California Communities United Institute, calling for support of Bill SB 401 as a Bill that would oppose homophobia. This is untrue and support of this Bill by the LGBT community can potentially be very damaging to the LGBT community.

On 11/17/2011 the Supreme Court held that the Proponents of Proposition 8 had standing to assert the state's interest in the initiative's validity, enabling the proponents to defend the constitutionality of the initiative and to appeal a judgment invalidating the initiative.
As of 12/20/2011 that decision has become a final decision.
